Project Development and Participation

High-Speed Metropolitan Network. Design and implementation of REMAV project of High-Speed Network Metropolitan Network, using ATM protocol, in Campinas/SP, for interconnect several research centers. This project was sponsored by RNP (National Research Network), as part of Internet2 project. Jul/1998 – Jun/2000

 

Deployment of LDAP protocol. Coordination the study for use and deployment of LDAP protocol inside the company, including OpenLDAP server and the development of applications for its use. Jul/2000 – Dec/2000.

 

Internet Multimedia Services for Technology Transfer. Project to implement Distance Learning and Remote Diagnosis over Internet for agricultural knowledge transfer. This project involves the infrastructure and use of video, audio and data, with the use of cameras, media servers, WWW server, database access, workgroup collaboration tools. Jan/1998 – Dec/2000.

 

Embrapa Wide Area Network. Project. Planning and implementing of corporate data network of Embrapa, including design and allocation of IP address to all research centers, establishing of BGP routing policy inside corporate network and for the Internet; planning and implementing the security policy and firewalls to the company, coordinate satellite bandwith allocation. Technical Administration

System Administration of Campinas Research Center

Local area network support, including SUN workstations, HP Apollo workstation, IBM-RS6000 workstation, SGI workstations, Intel PC HW with Windows 95/98/NT operation system, Cisco and 3COM router, Ethernet and ATM Switches. This infrastructure has around 300 network nodes. Installation and integration of basic services of different plataforms with public domain software.

 

Internet Site Administration

Administration of one TLD DNS domain and the maintenance of DNS server; WU-FTP server, WWW Apache server, Sendmail mailserver, Majordomo listserver, MySQL database server and others Internet services.

 

Routing Architecture Administration

Coordination of wide area routing. Network monitoring and trobleshooting host and network based IP and multicast problems. Configuration and support for wide area connection with PPP, X.25, Ethernet and ATM.

 

Internet Security Administration

Planning and implementing of Internet security system for Campinas Research Center. Investigation of security incidents, internal and external.
